Dragon and Phoenix

Yet another story concept.

Basically it's taking the ideas of aeons and such and putting them in another perspective. This one dealing more in galaxies and such. It's more centering around the idea of how the Yin and Yang symbol is traditionally (at least I read somewhere) representative of the Phoenix and the Dragon. I wondered how these two would become both enemies and lovers. It's a concept of different worlds meeting and syncing. All that junk. Not really of forbidden love... just more... How war tears people apart... how hate does that... and how love can lead to amazing things.

Why is that only fantasy stories can only tell such tells perfectly? Anyway, I hope I can do well with it.

I'm not talking about your normal romance

There has been another story running around in my head for a long time now. Honestly, what's been holding me back the most is the name. I've decided to call it The Stop at Cafe Masala. Cafe Masala is actually a real place here in Columbus. I asked the owner if I could use her cafe name in the book and she said yes. So, I'm hoping to start this soon. What I think I'm going to do is run her off a copy of the story when it's done. That way she can take her company name off of it if she wants to.

This isn't your typical romance novel. I don't intend to include any steamy hot love scenes. The sensuality will be present as I guess is typical of my stories. I also don't expect it to stand out in the crowd. I honestly don't expect anything I write to do so. What has been annoying me for ages now is that when you pick up a novel with homosexuality in it, or bi-sexuality no one seems to acknowledge the hetro-community. Or vice versa. I intend to change that. They also fail to recognize the fundamentals of what bi-sexuality is: attraction to both genders. I hope to change that with this book. I may actually use the name in another story. But I needed a coffee shop name... and this neat cafe stop, with it's homey atmosphere and informal following seemed perfect. I hope it stays that way. I am not going to be using the story to make some type of statement to the world, just wanting to satisfy something that has always bothered me personally.
